Yes, to sync your products across devices and receive notifications. You can sign up with email, Google or Apple ID. The process takes less than 1 minute.

The app works offline to browse your existing products. Adding new products with OCR requires a connection. Notifications also require a connection to be delivered.

Expirio works on iPhone (iOS 14 or later) and any Android device running version 8.0 or later. One account works across multiple devices.

When you photograph a label, our AI processes the image and extracts the expiry date. It works best with clear, well-lit labels. If the reading fails, you can correct it manually.

You will receive a push notification on the day the product expires, at 8:00 AM in your timezone. You will also see the product highlighted in the dashboard. Expired products remain in your history.

Yes. You can create as many locations as you want: fridge, freezer, pantry, kitchen cupboard... The app suggests the most likely location when you add a product.

Yes. When you consume a product before it expires, mark it as "consumed" with a single tap. It moves to your history and you can view your consumption vs. waste statistics.

Only the necessary data: your email, the products you add (name and expiry date), and your device token for notifications. We do not collect your location, contacts or any other personal data.

No. We never sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes. Your eating habits are private.

Go to Settings → Account → Delete account. All your data is permanently deleted within 30 days. You can also request it by emailing privacy@expirio.app.

Yes. Expirio complies with GDPR. You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, portability and objection. Exercising these rights is easy from within the app.

Make sure the label is well lit and in focus. Try natural light. If it still fails, enter the date manually. The AI continuously improves with corrections.

Check that Expirio notifications are enabled in your phone settings. On Android, make sure the app is not in extreme battery saver mode.

Yes, automatically when there is a connection. If you have Expirio on multiple devices with the same account, they all show the same products in real time.
